I borrowed O-Knut's pic for this question...Is the light supposed to come on when you first start the car, like the "OIL" or "TEMP" lights on other older cars do? I can't ever remember the light coming on at start-up. On my Coronet, it has the "OIL" light that illuminates briefly at start-up and quickly goes out when pressure builds. I was curious if the Sentry Signal light is supposed to do the same.

It will come on if any of your gauges are in the low or empty range, but should go out as soon as gauge gets to the acceptable range.
