Inspired by Red's new registry for the Monaco 500, I built one for all C-body Monacos. If you have one, please join! Since this registry is brand new, I'd appreciate feedback on the kind of info to collect and the options which should be available for multiple-choice questions (did I list all of the right engine choices, etc).

Here's a link to the registry:

And here's one that shows the results:

I just submitted mine. I see a couple things to add to the options list...

1. Under model, you should add Royal for the later body styles
2. For upholstery type, might want to add vinyl/cloth.
3. Might also want to add body type (C body/B body) as the 77 royal monaco was a C, where as the 77-78 base monacos were b bodies. 77 was the last year for the c body monaco.

Other then that looks good

Thanks for the suggestions... I made the changes except for the B vs. C question. I figure that since any 77 or 78 "Monaco" is a B-body, there's no need to make the owner type it in. (Likewise, any 77 or 78 "Royal Monaco" is a C-body.) So if we have both the year and the model name, the body is easy to figure out.

Good deal!

Fine, take the easier way out.. Haha jk! Might make a little more sense that way!

No Royal Monacos (or Gran Furys) in '78.

So if I want to limit it to full-size Monacos, I should cut off the year options at 1977, right?

Or maybe it's OK to leave room for the B-body Monacos, too. I guess there's no harm in leaving room for them in the registry.

Using that logic, you have to include Monaco motor homes.
Skip the B-bodies. My 2 cents....

It's these type of arguments that caused our masthead to come out all botched up.

I doubt that there will be an overwhelming amount of Monacos out there period, and way less with owners looking to register them, even if you included the '77-'78 B- bodies.

To me it would seem odd to exclude them...

I know of a '68 2drht, however it has not been on the road for years, but still a very good project car. Would you be interested in knowing the details if the owner is OK with it being listed?

Yes, by all means...

David and I have joined forces so to speak and the original group will be open to all Monacos.

I know this is a terrible thing to mention, but somebody in product planning in Canada decided they needed a "C" body Dodge that couldn't beat a loaded bus off the line, and thus OK'd for production, cars built with a 225/6 in 1965 & '66. So to cover absolutely 100% of "C" body Dodges, you might want to add that to your registry.

Speaking of options do you have any provision for the uber Royal Monaco of all time - the Diplomat?

Oh, hell. Might as well throw these in there too:
