It was a factory option. I would rather see nicks and dents in the body side or more importantly park it away from other cars.

Please note, I would rather see them than a bump strip. I, of course, would hate seeing even one nick or dent in my own cars!!! You can be sure though, you will never see an add on bump strip like that on any of my cars.
