Just lost my "2nd Dad" at 98 years young. He was a WWII get and purple heart recipient. Did great things for our small community and was the local Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge dealer for many years. He taught me so much about Mopars and life and having faith. That Plymouth hearse would have been perfect for his final ride......Godspeed Leonard!!

My condolences brother, it ain’t never easy losing a loved one. But I agree! that hearse would certainly be a classy ride to the motherland..
 
Speaking of that Hearse.. that must’ve been quite the looker when it was new, but what’s with the luggage rack? Lol.. going somewhere?

That first picture made me cringe. That Polara probably went straight to the scrap yard.

That "hearse" . . . there used to be a similar one that would come to Mopar Nats in the later 1980s, as a drag race exhibition car. More of a "dark demeanor" than the one pictured, maybe even with "flame throwers" for the rear exhaust pipes.
