Looking to get a new speedo cable for the Monaco (old one cut in half).

Regular speedo cables can be found easily, coming in one piece, straight from the trans, to the speedo.

However the cable on the car looks to be a 2 piece. A cable comes from the trans, and screws into another cable about 10inchs before entering the firewall, then into the dash. Is this original? Or is this an old aftermarket piece?

I'd like to find a replacement lower half cable that goes to the trans if possible... That way I won't have to mess with the grommit in the firewall, and what not.

What you guys think?

The only 2 piece cables I'm aware of is for speed control units. I've never seen anything like you have there. Couldn't you just find and use a regular C Body cable?

Yea, I've never seen anything like it before either..

The Cordoba has the 2 cables with the cruise control. But the ends of those cables that plug into the servo, look nothing like these.

Yea, I'll get one of the regular repro cables to put in. But was wondering if these cables were available too. Looks like the firewall grommit is built into the upper cable.

I'll crawl under the car, and look closer tomorrow. The bottom cable got cut on accident with the cut off wheel when doing metal work lol
