I have some type of compatibility issue with my steering pump vs fan pulley. This set up is on my 69 300. The mid to upper end of the adjustment put the belt in conflict with the pulley as you can see with the polish on pulley. The pump can't be lowered to an angle where it clears or any angle below mid adjustment due to the flat bar bracket on the back resting on the block behind the water pump
What components are not correct here?
If the rear bracket was curved, I believe I could get the pump low enough to clear.
But one would think you could use the entire range of adjustment without a clash.

Your front bracket looks like a reproduction or a copy of a b-body bracket. See the sharp edges on the metal and the square hole for adjustment had the corners knocked off, that doesn't happen on a factory Chrysler bracket.

The C-body uses the two piece bracket with a lower pivot bolt that places the pump in a different position. The b-body bracket puts the pump higher and they c-body pulley is larger diameter than anything used on a b body.

The PS belt rubbing the alt pulley is pretty common anyway on B and c bodies. Most do it, some do not.

I don't know the story on this I may have pieced it together.. it's may have been on the car when I got it. Is the mount you describe the same in 65 like this one on my New yorker?
