Fantastic. I’ve still got my first badge off my Dad’s 69 Nova dash, my second from the dirt next to an abandoned 67 Mustang and my third from a door sill deep in the mud 66 Fury 4 Dr. They’re all in pretty sad shape but often remind me of the dreams I had of owning, driving and maintaining those rides.

That is a great story! Kinda reminds me of when the rappers in the 80's who where "proudly" wearing stolen Benz symbols as necklace pendants, and the Beastie Boys mockingly wore VW symbols. Well it caught on and wannabes were stealing veedub symbols left right and center. So, VW made a full page ad which ran for a few months in large American magazines, asking people to write them for a symbol rather than stealing them from their customers car's. Kudos to the kids parents for teaching him the dying art of "writing letters".

Great story, because a handful of people were willing to go out of their way to make a kids day. A piece of parenting advice I heard years ago said, Say yes as often as you can.

That reminds me but in a less heartwarming way of when we came out of Costco in the 90’s to see somebody stole the H off my wife’s honda accordion. She was pissed and got even madder when I said why do you even care just be glad it’s not my Plymouth. Good times.
