Our granddaughter was asked to draw a picture demonstrating a before and after result of the wars to commemorate Remembrance Day. This is the incompleted version of her thoughts. She has since added red poppies to finalize it. The drawing is on display at the local legion.

I am glad the younger generation has been taught the very harsh realities of war and the reasons they became necessary.

My father was in WW11 and I am sure he suffered with PTSD way before it became public. The people who served suffered emotionally for the rest of their lives. May they rest in peace. Thanks to them we live a better life.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice to all my friends on our great forum here and beyond! You truly are the ones that keep our country free. While not a veteran myself, my dad was in the army so I truly appreciate each and every one of you!

Just got back from the center of town, where they host the annual luminary display for our veterans. The lions club does this every year and it keeps getting bigger and bigger, this year being the biggest I ever seen.
