Tony Sirico (played Paulie "Walnuts" Gualtieri) passed away at 79. Reason not listed yet, but he was diagnosed with dementia at few years back.

Apparently a real life "gangster" in his youth who straightened himself out. I mainly knew of him watching the Sopranos but recall other supporting roles over the years (bad guys, cops, etc.) .. one of Tony's trusted lieutenants played to perfection.

Why I liked Sirico's character.

Anybody could deliver lines written for them ... Tony Sirico seemed to be born to do Paulie....

He was my favorite character on the Sopranos. Another one of the guys on there that you would start thinking how human he is, then they would show that he was still a cold blooded killer.
