I have a 65 Plymouth Fury3 with a 1965 383 motor
Last owners were idiots n bolted in the 383 to a small block
Trans n trashed the converter

Ive been told I may need a weighted converter but what was in there was not any help would be greatly appreciated

They couldn't have possibly bolted the 383 in your Fury III to a SB transmission housing.
The 383 in your Fury III has the steel crank which means it is internally balanced which in turn means you do not use the balanced touque converter or in other words you want the TC to be the one withOUT weights on it.

What they did was they got the top bolt on the trans n motor
Then somehow got the flex plate bolted to the converter
Which in turn sheered the bolts off in the torque converter
Not the brightest people were working on the car I cant complain though I got it for 500
