Greetings,

I just moved to FL this summer and since my registration from NC is about to expire I am considering changing over to Fl. I have seen some vintage car owners use antique plates on their rides and I wanted to know if you can do this in FL. I am interested in using a plate from 1973 on my car, not the speciatly tag that says "antique". Can I do this? Is it legal in FL? Thanks for the help in advance.:happy1:

YEP!
74 was the cutoff date.
If you can find a 74 and earlier plate, you can use it.
If you can find a 74 and earlier plate for your County, even better.
If you can find a 74 and earlier plate for your County with correct letters & numbering (Agricultural, military, etc), you're GOLDEN.
There's an obscure website on how to I.D. vintage FL plates and their assignment and designation. I don't have the link. Google your heart out.

If your still in process of doing this be forewarned, the plate needs to go to Tallahassee for approval and I understand they are really picky, no reburb plates allowed

Ready for the challenge

I heard the same thing. I suppose now I only need to find a good set of 1973 FL plates right? Anyone have a set for sale?:fishin:
