Valve cover studs?

I just got a new set of valve cover studs, bolts and nuts for my 300, some were missing when I got the car. My question is were are the studs supposed to be installed?, im not sure if there is a specific location for them. Cant really tell by photos ive been looking at. Any suggestions and or pics would be great. Thanks guys.

As I recall, studs were usually only on the lower end positions. Not on the other positions. Might check the engine illustrations in the Order Guides at www.hamtramck-historical.com. Seems they were not on all engines, though, just some. IF there is a default mode, that would be "none", to me.

I have seen them on different 440's, im thinkin easier to hold covers in place when installing the bolts...

I was thinking the bottom end holes myself.

Seems like the picures I've seen, only on the lh frt hole, too.
