Hey guys thanks for having me here. I just bought a 1970 Polara with a 318 auto. I've been digging and digging on how/if its possible to put a 4 speed in a fuselage C body. My idea was a big block A833 but I cant seem to find much on this being done. Biggest hurdle I can see is finding a clutch pedal + system. Anyone have ideas?
Ill post pictures of the car tomorrow if I can.

Welcome.
Putting a four speed into a Fuselage body has been discussed here a few times.
It can be done but it's not for the amateur who simply thinks it's a catalog job and handing the parts over to a shop.
Someday I'll write a how-to book but nobody would buy it.
Enjoy your TorqueFlite or buy a better candidate if a 4 spd. is your heart's desire.

Anything can be done. How much mone do you have?

There is a Thread on here, A guy is putting a 4-Speed in a 70 Chrysler 300 Convertible. He is using 65-68 C Body pedals, Z bar. I would love to see some Fuseys with 4 Speeds done Up right Especially a 70 Polara.

I thought he was going hydraulic. Or was that another conversion?

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Welcome... There is a 70 Polara with a 440-6 and a four speed. The builder may have a thread here but definitely on the drydock

You may have been thinking about my project on the '68 300. I'm using the hydraulic throwout bearing setup. Starting the conversion this week after welding sub-frame connectors & torque boxes in my '67 Satellite. As the future home of a 528 Hemi, it needs to be stiffened up!

Back in the early 90s I took a set of E body pedals and modified them to fit my '71 Newport. I had a 440+6/4sp running in it for a short time before I had to get rid of the car. IIRC it was simple - trimmed one side and redrilled the holes, and narrowed the actual "frame" to fit the '71 dash. There was a hole for the clutch rod with a plug in it already, and while i had not filled the hole yet I'm fairly sure the floor could use a B body hump. Trans was E/B body long tail A833. Bellcrank and various other linkages were E/B body. I still have the booster, pedals, and misc stuff "just in case". It might end up in my '69 300.

Gotcha...lol. I suppose my "fix" would be either a B or A body hump (whichever is cheaper and easilly found) and then modify it and the bench seat frame as needed to fit.
They repop the C-body hump. FITS LIKE A GLOVE.
I don't known why everybody insists on micky mousing the hump.

$250.00 and it's yours.
It's for the 65-68 C-bodies but we have shown here it fits the 69-73 cars perfectly also...
