This is peculiar ...
F13 69-71 60 Amp Alternator

Did cars with the 60-amp alternator get different/upgraded wiring? I understand that there may have been different voltage regulators for the two alternators, what else?

To my knowledge Michel, Chrysler did not produce a 60 amp alternator in 1971, so there were no wiring upgrades that I am aware of. I think Chrysler did produce an upgraded Leese Neville alternator for police or other heavy duty applications, so then I expect they did have some wiring upgrades. It is a very big, heavy unit that looks nothing like the Chrysler alternators. It looked something like this but with black instead of gold pulley etc.:
