Some more history for you guys. Anyone remember the early Zeeker alumninun heads from the early 80's. Well this is the Volare Pro Stock car of Loren Zeedyk who pioneered the Zeeker heads. He sold his company to Russ Flagle of Indy Cylinder heads. This is the guy who started it all with the race aluminum Big Block heads. You guys didn't know that did you. Now for some history on the Volare. This is the old Jim Kinnette Volare that originally was an Arlen Vanke Duster. This car is still around. Have be been told it's rarely gets out now. Too much history in it.

Jim Kinnetts 1980 Volare. Wearing Pro 8. This was a 426 Hemi Gen II style engine. Here racing Bob Gliden's Fairmont Pro 1. I have been told by Dan Williams that this car was originally built for Bob Glidden to replace his Arrow. When his Chrysler deal fell through the Volare was sold to Kinnette

Finland's first drag race was run in Keimola in 1975, and was organized by Finnish Hot Rod Association. A quarter-mile section of track was built Keimola main straight but it was run in a different direction than usual, the starting line of the track at the south end and the finish line normal start line features. The fastest time of the race came Jorma Päivärinta Kawasaki 750 motorbike (11.16 s). The fastest street car in the register was Urpo Lahtinen, directed by Mercedes-Benz autom. Waxenberger (14.42 s) and fastest American car Kai Svensson Dodge Charger (14.89 s). ....thank yourself!!!
