I have engine out for tebuild and while cleaning engine bay on each side of trans tunnel there are 1/2” tubes protruding fromfirewall. Also 1 below blower motor. What are these? Thnks

If the car has A/C might be condensate drains. Keeps frost melt from the A/C evaporator from leaking into the vehicle interior.

As mentioned, factory a/c would have one on the pass side, basically in front of the passenger seat. The blower motor usually has a cooling rubber hose on the bottom of the main motor area, but it is not a drain and usually attaches back to the motor. No reason for one on the driver's side, that I know of. The cowl drain should be a rubber flap, as I recall, higher on the cowl than the others?

Factory a/c or under-dash add-on a/c? Many of the add-on units had one drain hose per side of the inside unit, seems like. Each one on its side of the transmission hump?

Maybe get some softer wire and probe the holes to see how deep and such?

Enjoy!

Ive come to conclusion that the drains on each side of trans tunnel are cowl drains and 1 below blower motor is drain for heaterbox. Thnx
