I messaged her about it. Was originally white with blue interior she says.
If you get a photo of the fender tag, I'd be grateful for it.

I messaged her over the weekend and she will be getting a photo of the body code plate for me. Right now, she is under the weather and the car is elsewhere, so it may take a couple days she said. If it really is an HP engine, I might be interested. The interior is pretty messed up with everything being sprayed red!

This is a tough one. Too pricey for the 'corrections' it needs, but to price to that makes it a $3000 car, which it's clearly worth more than that.
The interior color is hideously too bright for FCBO purists, but seems in decent shape from what can be seen.
Front seats have been recovered fairly well albeit not correctly, there is an extra seam and the buttons are missing (headrests too). And what's the mess in the circle - wiring?
The red-colored inside windshield trim is a curiosity - how was it made to red?
The body looks fairly straight and ding-free on those huge flanks. Looks like poor-quality paint over possibly a really virgin body.
Underhood, from what we can see, is readily fixable over a few weekends, aside from the disconnected AC, which some (like me) would view as able-to-be-ignored.

Interesting that it has cornering lamps but standard steering wheel - was cornering available without the Saginaw tilt/tele column?

I think it needs eyeballs on it, but if bought for $5000 could actually be a good car hiding under there, provided you could repaint it yourself.

Yes you could have the cornering lights with the standard column (in 69), I had a parts car that was equipped as so.

Attached is the fender tag of CM27T0C167979 -- note the L31 and L35 option codes. Original color was B7.

At 8000 usd it’s right there in the ballpark. It’s 52 years old, so it needs refreshing anyway. If it only needs paint and reupholstery (I’m ignoring the non-stock engine bay), it’s worth every penny she is asking.

They don’t make them anymore.

I called to talk with her a couple weeks ago but decided I don't like convertibles enough to buy it. I did follow up with her to tell her my decision to not buy it but that her asking price was appropriate. She thanked me for the input and determined she would not go lower than $7000.
