Completed the dashectomy to get to the headlight switch. I'm guessing that all the crumbly bits are the reason I have no dash lights... Any recommendations on other things to do while i have this apart? Will go ahead and change all the bulbs back there. Hoping all this works when it gets back together.

:Crumblies" used to be a part of the ceramic holder for the rheostat that varies the instrument panel lights' brightness? What do the contacts inside of the switch look like?

Just curious,

Howdy, neighbor.

While you're in there make sure the terminal in your plug that mates up with B2 on your switch (usually pink wire) is hot at all times. This is power in to the switch for your dash lights.
I can't tell from your pic what the front of the rheostat (spring) looks like, but if you see any green / blue areas they should be cleaned up.
And I agree....the crumbles are most likely the factory rheostat adhesive going south. New (preferably MoPar) switch time, or time for a rebuild of your original (I can help with that)

Hello Neighbor, nice to see another c-body member on OK. I ordered a new NOS light switch. Wish I had known you could rebuild these, I would have gone that direction. Thanks for the tip on B2. I will definitely check that.
