Replacement Roof panel information for a 1970 Plymouth Fury III 4 door hardtop C Body

Is anybody able to advise me of a replacement roof panel for the above type vehicle.
Canadian manufactured Plymouth Fury 3 were sold in AU as a Dodge Phoenix.
My one is 4 door pillarless (Hard top) with a concave rear screen.

Thankful for any information, newbie here!

Better off finding a donor Phoenix in Australia, shipping is a killer. Have you tried Jim Robinson in Victoria?
 
Not only would the shipping costs be massive, as the weight of a sturdy container would be a good bit by itself, BUT getting it shipped (even in the USA) and it not being received with some damage on it, might be "a trick" to get done.

For general principles, you might need to make sure which rear glass is in that particular body style. The concave glass of the convex glass.

Did something fall on the car or was it rust hidden under a vinyl top? Just curious.

Does a 4 door have two different rear windows options like the 2 door does? 21, 23 and 29 For the roof.
Is the a 41, 43, and 49 roof for 4 door.

what are your 3rd and 4th digits of the VIN number?

If your 1970 Fury 3 is a four-door hardtop, VIN number 43, no B pillar
then according to Hollander, 1969 through 1971 Plymouth and Dodge four-door hardtop roof will work. No other body style roof is interchangeable with four-door hardtop. Also no Chrysler C body roof is interchangeable with 1970 Fury 3 4-door hardtop roof.

Thanks crv. Yep have tried JR. Believe me if I could find a DECENT roof panel ex AU i would. Shipping wont be a total killer as I intend to have it shipped using some1 elses FCL already coming into AU.

Thanks 413, unfortunately this car pre dates vin numbers in (AU) (1970) but it does have the concave rear glass.

Yeah CBODY the dreaded vinyl top rust. I have addressed shipping etc in a previous reply but non damaged could certainly be an issue but one I would just have to take the chance.

This 1 is definitely concave..
I don't have access to any of the original service or parts manuals.
Hoping you can tell by the corner rear screen picture.

Take a Look at the Firewall Directly in Front of the Driver.
If It's a 70 Year Model You Should Find the Letters DE or DF & also P43 if It's a 4Dr H/Top.
The Sedans are H43 in the "VIN"
Maybe a Bit Hopeful But one of the Crazy People Who Cut the Roofs Many Years Ago to Make a So Called Convertible
Might Still Have the Roof Section Stored Somewhere.
Are We Talking about Rust in the Roof Itself or Rusty Back Pillars.
Had Eastern Creek Smash in Sydney Replace the Back Window in a 69 Sedan at What I Considered a Reasonable Price.
Especially Considering the Quality of the Work Done.

I have a book by Hollander which details compatibility. Hollander has a website Hollander Interchange: The Best Tool for the Right Part but provides no website that I know of where you can look up compatibility. Thus I cannot post a link.

The info I gave applies to your car if it has no B-pillar. 1969-1971 Plymouth and Dodge Canadian-made and American-made 4-door hardtops all had the same roof.
 
Thanks again for this info.. From what you are saying it appears very likely to be the correct part. I can confirm thanks to another members help it is in fact a P43 body, so this may help as well. I think maybe a email from me to Auto Metal Direct with the information you provided to confirm fitment may well be in order. Great!

Hi Tony and thanks for your help buddy. Yep its a DF and a P43 as well. Intimate knowledge is such a good thing. I like your suggestion, maybe I should try a call out in AU in case of a stored roof from one of the illustrious open tops. Most definitely talking rust in the roof top and a little in the back pillars (Unknown? until I pull the rear screen).
 
I think maybe a email from me to Auto Metal Direct with the information you provided to confirm fitment may well be in order. Great!
Don't waste your time, AMD has zero (or near-zero) reproduction sheetmetal for C-bodies. Certainly not a roof for a 4-door car - there's no payback for it.

You will need to source a roof cutoff from AU or USA.
The roof will be cheaper if they can simply cut thru the pillars and crate it up.
If you want them to cut thru all the spotwelds it'll cost a lot more.
Also would be best to peel your VT and get the glass out, to determine how much you need from the donor car.
