What are you working on today??

We got the big, heavy pieces assembled today. Yay!
No issues. Turns out that I made a mistake about the spacers. I only needed a few shims as the shop floor is flat level.

I hooked up the trailer to my 300 and went out to Wildcat didn't haul anything home but I bought some glass. Seen this Newp sitting there, I love it great looking driver. Don't know if the owner is on here. Went home and put the seat a side covers back on my 81 xl500s. I let the carb get gunked up. It starts first kick every time now. Took it for the first out of the neighborhood ride since I have owned it. It's breaking up in higher rpm but I have not looked at a thing since I bought it and put a clutch in it.

Inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating a transaxle to replace the unit that locked up in my 2001 MTD Yard Machines riding lawn mower. This one is actually a little older than my mower. The differentials are not limited slip. I haven't removed the locked unit yet to disassemble and see what locked it up.

Sorted out the no start on the 1500 Intruder and got it back together with the new exhaust. The starter relay was no good. With the new exhaust the bike sounds so much better, and is lighter too now. With the P.A.I.R system deleted there are no pops on deceleration which is nice.

Spent a hot and humid 3rd of July getting dad's Camaro convertible up and running. First time in nearly 2 years since it has seen the light of day since his passing in March of 2023.
After replacing the battery took her out get a sip of the go juice. I forgot how small and cramped it feels inside with the top up.

Spent yesterday doing some work at my Mother in Law's, changed the oil and sharpened the blades on her lawn mower. Then mowed her lawn, my nephew has been doing it, but they were out of town for the 4th. Today i cleaned my wife's car inside and out then mowed my lawn.

I finally removed the 2” pipe plug from my air compressor (broke a 15” crescent wrench in trying - ground off the square end, ground out the insides and drove it out with a chisel), and plumbed it up to existing occ in the shop. In extracting the plug, I dropped the chisel inside the tank.
I tipped the compressor on its side to get the chisel out and broke off another fitting.
To get the top heavy compressor upright, I used the Cherry picker.
It’s all good now, but it was a long day yesterday.
