This is a really cool car for a police car guy. I'm not the seller, but just thought it was interesting. $4000 seems very reasonable, given the fender tag.

ORIGINAL, ORIGINAL, ORIGINAL! Time capsule, 37 YEARS Parked in the Arizona desert sun. Needs new interior and dash redone. The dash VIN is not visable,it may have slipped behind the dash cover. Motor&trans never been out or apart. Has an ignition key. The car rolls freely in neutral steers, but DOES NOT RUN, the motor turns but not a complete revolution. Everything is there but the front swaybar is missing, all the glass is there and intact but windshield is cracked on the passenger side, needs a new trunk lock & right fender extension. The tires are rollers and not original but the spare is. Rust free car other than a small patch behind the left wheel house in the trunk. Some dents and scratches but it is original paint so there are no surprises.I removed the starter and it will also need a rebuild. This is a 44 yr old UNRESTORED car. This car is astoundingly pretty much all there but many things will need to be cleaned and tested. Needs new plug wires, hoses.Shipping is your responsibility

ORIGINAL! Real deal Survivor 1970 Plymouth Fury 1 cop car, Not a clone. It still has the 1973 issue AZ plates, last registered 1977-78, parked for 37 years. This is a Police pursuit car with its original born with interceptor 440 cubic inch engine. All original panels and original paint. Factory riveted special order fender tags. Numbers matching engine, numbers matching 727 transmission, original 3.23 open 8¾ rear end with 489 case. Other original parts include: Dual snorkel air cleaner, Holley 4 bbl carb, exhaust manifolds, radiator and shroud, distributor, power steering pump with bolt on large pulley, dual diaphragm brake booster and heavy duty master cylinder with HD disc brakes, 15 inch wheels and dog dish hubcaps, original heavy duty coolant overflow, spare and jack, am radio, Arizona sunburnt tan police interior. It has its complete AC system still on the car. Motor and trans have never been out or apart. Motor turns but not a complete revolution, so a rebuild will be necessary. The original certified police 140 mph speedometer shows the mileage as 19,000 but I think it is 119,000. Arizona rust free car other than a small patch behind the left wheel house in the trunk. Underneath the car is dirty but not rusty. Still has original date code exhaust on the left side, the right side has been replaced from the muffler back. Original HD police suspension is there but the front sway bar is missing. Car rolls freely but does not run, brakes do not work. Needs a new passenger front fender extension and of course tires. Needs a new trunk lock. Other than these aforementioned items the car seems to be all there and original. The windshield has a crack on the passenger side all other glass is original and intact. Every muscle car collection should have a police pursuit vehicle. This is the only original police pursuit I have ever seen or even heard of. Judging from the removed paint on the rear and the numbers on the roof I think it was an unmarked Highway patrol car. Be “the Man”, get it running as is or restore to your taste. I am not interested in selling parts off the car. If you are interested in purchasing this desert "barn find"I will be glad to help you. You can call my cell (801) 808-8360 Richard. Don't call if you want to sell me something or help me sell the car or just like to chat.

In 1970 these C Body Pursuit Cars were built to go after speeding high performance and Muscle cars such as: Hemi Cuda, Dodge Challenger,440-6 Road Runner, Charger other Mopars,LS6 Chevelle, Corvette, GTO, Camaro, Mustang and hot rods etc.

As per the tag, it is a T code 440, not as the seller puts it, a U code "440 interceptor engine".

^That's what I mean. An original cop car with no vin on dash and wrong tail lights...

Makes me wonder the whole identity of this car.

Excellent ad .. I've never seen that or any ads for pursuits.

The whole VIN slide off things sounds very weird or shaky .. maybe he doesn't know where to look or is clueless

It is not an ad.
It is part of the 1970 Plymouth Police brochure (which also shows the Fury on the front cover)

I am sure it is geniune. I saw it in april.
Bumper is definetly not original but might have been swaped due to a dent etc and it is difficult to find a Fury I or Fury II bumper.

But the missing VIN makes you think if there are other issues about the paperwork/title etc

Carsten

Same thing happened to my "Pursuit". An accident while in service and rear bumper replaced with a 1971 plus trunklid. Correct ones obtained when restored.

OK then

Excellent brochure (or marketing tool which is sometimes called ad-vertising) .. I've never seen that or any sales literature (marketing tools) for pursuits.
