This Monaco was for sale and sold twice in the last year. It is a stunning car! I'm starting to like the 70 Monaco more than the 73 Imp that I've been chasing for several years.
I'm hoping this Monaco shows up at Carlisle next year.
o.k. boys! here is the skinny on the 5oo, I had an ad on the Denver c-list. "wanted" 69 or 70 Monaco or Monaco 5oo, been on for 6 mos. or so. Then bout 3 wks.ago on a Sunday afternoon got a phone call from a guy who said he had a 70 5oo, and it had come from out of the northwest. He described the car and this was the car that he described. after all how many of these cars could possibly still be around in this color combo, super lite, factory 8 track !!!!. So that's when I posted the old pics. from Hamilton's auto sales. He said he would get some pics. to me that wk. after he called, but musta got weak in the knees and texted me that he was having second thoughts.and no pics. He said he was paying storage on her, and thought about sellin. I have his # but haven't been pestering him. I have a full plate, just lost my central air, it's been 20 yrs. and the old lennox compressor finally gave out. What gets me is how cool, these 69,70 Polara, Monaco's are, WHY don't we see more survivors out there. I'm certain all you knowled gable gents out here will have the right answer.

Your original post was confusing, with the old ad pics adding to the head scratching. I get it now, you are looking at it, don't have a price and was wondering what the board thinks? Rubbish. You want it, figure out the most you can afford and make the offer. You should not give one spit about what we think. Most of the guys here will give 1/4 of what YOU are willing to pay, it's an emotional purchase there is no price guide that will help you. Personally, any C under 10k is worth every penny to the guy that wants it, over that it's just up to HOW MUCH you want it. Glad it's still available and the seller somewhat concealed, because you know a hundred lurker/flippers are feverishly looking for it right now. Make your offer and take it home.
I don't buy that, you see a bunch of Chrysler C's, Plymouth Furys, and earlier [before 69] Polara,Monaco for sale, on here, most folks don't bat an eye at em, BUT, ya see an ole rusty 69 or 70 Monaco or Polara, and it's big news. Point being why is there so many more C's other than the sleek sexy 69/70 full size Dodge'sThe answer is because many were used for family transportation and work duties. So many sat outside in the bad elements because of a too small garage or no garage at all.
Then there's the engine donor factor, many were parted for their hearts regardless of condition because they were cheap.
Lastly the Derby crowd still gets to them, even good solid cars.
The deck was stacked against the beloved C body. Seeing one on the street is unique

not saying their not as appealing! see a lot more of the aforementioned cars then the 69 or 70 Dodges and my point was WHY? why isn't there as many out there. No expert but maybe just maybe they weren't that many produced therefore there is not that many some 46 yrs. later. And I don't buy your claim that people don't bat an eye at Chrysler C's, Plymouth Furys .............. I find that the 69-71 Chrysler 300s, Plymouth Sport Fury GTs and others are just as appealing as 69-70 Dodge C bodies.
