Shhhh.... I'm hunting chipmunks!

Just release a 9Ft python in your house and give him a few days to do his thing Problem solved.

then you have a 9ft python loose in the great outdoors (V)(;,,,; )(V)

I feel for you, man! Until last summer I thought those damn things were cute. Well, ok they are cute, but they're also a major PITA! Last spring (2014), I noticed a bunch of holes in my backyard. No dirt piles, just tunnels. I couldn't figure out what kind of critter had made them. One day, I heard one hell of a racket and looked out of my window to see a chipmunk getting out of one of my walls and onto my roof, where the addition is joined to my home. He got into the wall from the crawlspace underneath. I had to get into the wall and replace the fibreglass insulation that the little bugger tore out. The I closed off acess at both ends using wire mesh. They're still getting into my crawlspace, but at least they can't climb up in to the wall anymore.

I've been dealing with the little *^%#$@s ever since. Using peanut butter and sunflower seeds as bait, I managed to catch four of them in a live trap that one neighbor was nice enough to loan to me. One of them, however, must have been trapped before by someone, because it will not go in the trap. So, I made a wooden box with a rat trap in it and, you guessed it, it won't go in there either.

We used to have a cat and she managed to catch at least one of them once. The neighbors cats come in my yard and do a good job of keeping the mice under control, but they don't even try to catch the chipmunks. There are hawks around too, but I think the chipmunks far out number the hawks.

The other annoying pests around here are moles. They tunnel all over the place and leave little black dirt hills, but they're easier to trap than chipmunks. One of them chewed through my phone/internet cable a couple of years ago while it was tunneling.

That's the point, Imagine having this huge Snake in your house somewhere. The suspense would be Awesome! lol.

I've found that baiting the trap with apple peel works real well. It's admittedly hard to get to stay there than peanut butter.

What I've been doing is putting 2/3 bait piles of black bird seed in the back yard. I lay the bird seed on something of a lighter color like cardboard or plywood so I can see the little shits better . I then climb on my roof and wait. So far this summer I'm up to 5/6. Keeps me sharp too. I can hit a chipmunk at 30yds with iron sights on my old Henry lever action .22!

Be thankful you don't have red squirrels. They make chipmunks look like preschool kids in comparison. Red squirrels seems to especially enjoy chewing on electrical wiring and burning down buildings in the process. Gray squirrels don't seem to like getting inside houses.

I'm calling B.S.! If you live in city limits, your not popping anything and getting away with discharging a firearm inside city limits without the cops showing up, pure and simple.

Till it decides you make a nice heater when you are sleeping that it can wrap around. I would like to see our rescue dog come face to face with a snake that big there would be a fire trail burning from him running away so fast. Lol

1:I am not so lifeless that would get on a c body forum and lie about shooting chipmunks!:)
2: Lucky for me I don't live inside the city limits!
3: assumptions assumptions stubs!!

.22 caliber air pellet rifle. 900 fps and no one hears anything. Except if it's a racoon and it's 2am. They scream like a human baby.

As mentioned above nothing eliminates vermin like a good house cat.
I've got 2. They are not in the living space of the house. They have moved into the masonry of my fireplace/chimney. In the house isn't an issue, one was in my barn earlier!! The barn is where the fury is.....I've tried live traps, mothballs and other non-lethal tactics for 2yrs now. No more Mr. Niceguy!!its time to act! Time eliminate the threats to my home, barn, cars and sanity!!!!

You can put dryer sheets in the car to keep rodents out, when sitting for long times. In the barn put a 5 gallon bucket half full of water. Take a bottle cap and put some peanut butter on it and float it in the water. They are very goal oriented and can't swim forever.
