Selling my 1969 Dodge Polara 2 dr Convertible. One of 972 built, only the 3rd one I've seen in person in 25 years...I had another one in the 90s.
It's been in a barn since 1989, when it was parked by the original owner who'd gotten too old to drive. Barn started falling down, so car was moved out. It's got some light hail damage on the hood, fenders, and trunk lid..and also a big dent in the right fender... but before you say "forget it" please realize it comes with all the replacement sheetmetal needed to repair it. It's got what appears to be the original 383 V8, 727 automatic transmission, and 8.75" rear axle. It has not been started in many years, and I see no need to even try it with the old oil and trans fluid sitting so long. IT DOES spin over freely, no water in the oil, etc.. but I'd pull it all apart just to freshen things up.
As for the body, it's a solid car with some rot in the lower driver side quarter panel, comes with a replacement for it. Light bit of rust in the passenger side front floorpan, other than that the floors are good. Trunk floor is fair, couple of bad spots but mostly just the turn-downs at either edge. It has manual steering and brakes.. can provide power steering/brake parts from the parts car (free) if you prefer. The top mechanism goes up/down easily enough but as with any ragtop that sat this long, the lift cylinders are frozen (and disconnected). The seats will need recovered.. rears dont LOOK bad but are brittle with age (and TX heat) , I dont have them in the car in order to prevent rodents from eating them. Door panels are in good shape, I have extra handles to replace the broken window cranks, and all the door/side glass is good. the windshield has some cracks and new ones are available... same as 2 door hardtop. Wouldnt take too much to make it drivable, a few grand to freshen up engine, trans, brakes, tires, etc.. but its definitely a restorable car, probably not much more than 150-200 of them left in ANY condition. I have plenty of connections, and still took me a month to find the trunk lid ..and had to get a whole parts car from Missouri. The bumpers off the parts car are better than the ones on it, figured I'd just sell the whole package and make it easy. You get everything from both cars. Asking $3500

NO TEXTS ! NO Emails ! NO Paypal Scammers. You want my car, call me !!!
1) I dont need texts saying you'll put extra money on paypal to pay a shipper who's magically only going to charge you (me) $600 to deliver a non-running car 1,450 miles to Delaware.. only if I mail them payment first. Apparently there are people that stupid, because it's the same old scam.
2) This is a 46 year old car, dont text me wanting a copy of the carfax report. (seriously ?)
3) If you see the ad, then YES it is still for sale, call me.
4) No, I dont need help selling it. If I needed help, I wouldnt be listing it here myself. I'm perfectly capable of listing it elsewhere too.
5) This is a complete car, with a big pile of extra parts.. which WONT fit in the trunk, an auto transport company is NOT going to pile it all on the back of their trailer, plan accordingly.
6) Yes, the car is where it says it is. I'm certainly not going to list it in Ben Wheeler, TX.. if it was sitting in San Antonio. However, for a non-refundable deposit, I can and will deliver it just about anywhere within 400-500 miles of Ben Wheeler/Tyler, TX. Possibly further, you pay the gas. If that sounds harsh.. realize that I'm not going to just go out on a limb and blow $200 on gas only to have someone change their mind... so, no deposit = no delievery. If you pay full price, I'll deliver within 100 miles for free. That's right about the Oklahoma border from here.
7) Sure, the price is negotiable. I'd even be open to some (MoPar) trades. I DONT need a Camaro, 3-wheeled Harley with a VW motor, Mustang, Hyundai, or even another Dodge truck.. really, I have too many of those already. Unless it's some other type of Chrysler car built in the 60s-70s... save us both the time, I'm not interested. Obviously, this isnt going to be trade bait for a big dollar musclecar, and I'm fine with that, if I wanted another Hemi car, Charger, etc.. I wouldn't be sitting here with a field full of trucks and a C-body convertible !

Folks, I'm ridiculously easy to deal with.. very friendly actually, dont mind chatting for hours with like-minded enthusiasts. Thanks for your time. Gimme a ring. 210-838-six2nine2

You think I would have remembered the ad from the description which is longer than War & Peace...
