I didn't want to leave the impression that I would endorse Trump at this point, but I do respect his toughness and his being owned by no one. I am not so sure about his judgment at this point though. The candidate that best reflects my thoughts on the most important issues in this race is Bernie Sanders. He is a lot like Trump in his intensity and non-ownership and I like his assessment of the real problems at hand and where to go first to try and dismantle the forces that have overtaken our Democracy. But I am concerned about his age and his ability to keep up the fight and his lackluster polling results to date. We are all concerned about the direction of our country, and having a strong President with capable leadership qualities is important, but we can not dismiss our own individual responsibility for how far we have gotten off track as well. The hate, strife, finger pointing, name calling and most of all the disrespect we show one another is also a big factor in why we are going down. As I talk with my neighbors and friends (and many of them are in different parts of the world since I have sold a lot of my cars to Germany, Finland, Sweden, Netherlands, Australia and elsewhere) I find that we are all very much alike in what we struggle with and what we enjoy. When we lose sight of our common bonds and struggles, and embark on behavior that insults and denigrates others in our respective societies, we just hurt ourselves. That is what the radicals in the mideast have engaged in, to their eventual self destruction.

Looks like we are about to have a repeat of the religious crusades. The Crusades lasted almost 200 years, from 1095 to 1291 and were basically the Christians vs the Muslims to repatriate the "holy land". Well we know how well that has worked out.

That number is actually closer to a hundred thousand. The "10,000" bullshit is for public consumption, intentionally implying that NO refugees have been brought in yet! There have been close to 40K brought in already in the dark of night through specially-chartered government-sponsored flights over the past year and a half. Of course, do I believe this? I certainly think it's likely, knowing the volume of lies propagated on us by our alleged "leaders" and the complicit media acolytes.

No worries Stan they were all thoroughly vetted by the United Nations and screen by our Foreign Affairs over the last couple weeks. Zero chance of anyone dangerous getting in. :rolling: This is after the previous government told us they couldn't reasonably screen them within 6 months. Legit refugees who have been victims of ISIS I have empathy for but now I have no confidence what we are getting.
