No trim missing behind the parking/turn signal lights - correct for a 1961. In 1962 some trim was added.

Wide whites were actually correct for 1961 on these cars, but in 1962 the single white walls were started.

No real idea what it will go for, as I doubt the rams were original and there are a few not quite correct details under the hood. But the overall look of the car is pretty impressive and generally the car seems well done.

There was a matching set in BC a few years ago, only 361s though. I think some trim is missing behind the front turn signals.

Looks like Fathers day in the park show in Mission .....not sure I was there that year, I went to most of them over the years though, rain or shine if I wasn't working. ;)

I'd love to see it with the top down.... Just like the forward look convertible Imperials, rarely seen with their tops down.

I remember those 2 from ebay a few years back, being marketed as a husband-wife set. Saw a few relists, then they were split up, even then they didn't sell right away. They were priced in Letter territory, and IMHO that was the hurdle for a 361 car.

I have said this Before but a Junkyard i went to as a Child had a 61 New Yorker Convertible i believe it was. Only a Small Handful of them were ever made. I have the Vin from it somewhere. My Dad Said he Discovered the car as he was leaving late one night and Saw the Reflection of the Moon in the Front Windshield. Is was to burried in the Vines to really get a clear view of it.

I think 300rag was referring to trim missing on the rosey-colored cars. The bright red one has something they don't.

Actually I was also referring to the two cars together as well, but I found I was wrong after going to my 1961 dealer brochure. The CHRYSLER letters are correctly placed on the red car, and it also has the same letters on the rear right side just below the decklid (as did all the 1961 models). What threw me was that the Windsor models (and there were no Windsor convertibles) and the Chrysler 300G did not have those letters on the front fenders - only on the rear just below the decklid. The New Yorker models has a different style script saying New Yorker in the same place on the front fenders. I didn't realize after all these years how many variations there were in the nameplate locations on the 1961 Chryslers. Learned something new.

A 1961 New Yorker convertible is much rare than a Chrysler 300G letter car and I would expect it would be more valuable than a letter car done to the same standards.

Here is a photo of the original dealer brochure showing it:

Note the extra trim and New Yorker script on the front fenders just behind the turn signal light on this model.
