Wow! That is a very nice model. In it's original box at that, I wonder how much extra that adds to the price. 2X? For that much I'll opt for the 1:1 version.

I have a 1962 Chevrolet police car the same length but a lot better shape. Mine is battery operated and the red light comes up from a part of the roof that opens up. I have not looked in years in its value as mine is in the original box also.

I think I remember reading that one of these 62 Imperial tin toy cars sold for over $20k back in the late 1980's or early 90's. At that time you could have probably bought four or five perfect examples of the real car for that price.

Just ordered and recieved this 1/18 scale 1962 Imperial, by BoS (Best of Show), from American Excellence. It doesn't have a detailed chassis and it has no opening features, but the car is beautiful. The paint is amazing and the model looks very accurate and realistic. I would rather have this one than the tin toy Imperial. I might even prefer it to the real thing when it comes to having room to park it.

I wish they would make a 1959 Imperial model. I have several dealer promo's but not one like the size of the 1/18.
