I agree !!!, Like everything else, there are many many other threads to read, watch or tune into on this site. In the end "WE" are all here for one another and our passion for our cars. I feel that no topics should or need to be off limits and if people do not want to join in well "DON'T" it's really just that simple. We all have our own points of view and life is way to short to be bothered by someones opinion and or beliefs.THAT BEING SAID !!! I'M GOOD ....CARRY ON ...........

I think you might have missed the Trump sticker on the back window of my RMB. My point was it's been on since September '16, and won't come off until he gives me a reason.
And a word on "deep" and/or political discussions... I like them. Even the guys who I don't agree with, I usually find intelligent. Since I don't FB, this is my opportunity to interact with a group of people from all over the world. However, "cars" are my main hobby (and quite a universal icebreaker) so I'm not likely to hang out in a political discussion board either. I'd say more, but it will have to wait for a better keyboard, this is too much work on a BlackBerry.
(and I'm getting a ton of work done today, this is my state-required break)

This attitude is what keeps us down and I have had enough of it. We can do something about it, but we have to get a lot more engaged than we have. And more really need to understand just what are the real problems, not just listening to the bought and paid for news outlets that want to brainwash us with their garbage, and never point a finger to the real problem - themselves. Yeah, he doesn't even have a clue as to what is in any of the legislation his party is conjuring up, and is so lazy and unwilling to look into it and lead unless it is easy by sending out his tweets and wastes precious time listening to the news on television looking for an accolade for himself or a criticism to tweet about. He criticized Obama for his trips away from the White House "dump" but then manages to be gone much more, with complete aplomb no less, than Obama ever did.

Trump is not just fighting the Dem's he's also fighting the establishment in his own party. The best indicator is the recent defeat of Obamacare (although it's still early days and not over until the fat lady sings). His ultimate success or failure will depend on his ability to unite the right. He recognises the insanity of free trade with third world countries and the impact that has on Full Time middle class jobs in your country. The middle class voted for him knowing that the so called knowledge economy with it's promise of of high tech jobs is just a smoke screen for McJobs and working a couple part time jobs to make ends meet. WRT his in your face style of communication my suspicion is that there is a lot of good cop bad cop going on within his administration in particular with his dealings with Korea. He has some very capable people around him. Just my .02 from the Canadian peanut gallery.

Hey, I said the same thing a few posts above (#450). I do my best to stay well informed based on a variety of inputs and comments and from tweets/comments from Trump himself. I worked in both industry and government for most of my life, and I wasn't born yesterday. I have a pretty good idea what is going on in both.

I think part of being a snowflake is being "safe" from opinions you don't agree with... I'm not aware that President Trump has tried to shut down any networks, closed down any newspapers, etc. Does he respond (very directly and often with a ham-fist) to critics? Yes. And that makes him a new species that the media haven't quite figured out yet.

Jeb if the R's had done to him what the D's did to Bernie? He's not playing by their rules, and that scares the hell out of them. Full court press to bring him down... somehow.
As for snowflakes, they're making a movie about them:
The guys making that movie aren't huge Trump fans. Both of them wanted different candidates. But they aren't letting that keep them from expressing concerns about the endangerment of free-speech at universities. Those "institutions" have become snowflake central.

Always about taxes and fair share with you isn't it...if I make $100k I have to pay $35k in taxes.. if I make 1 million a year and have to pay 35 precent that's 350k or like trump he paid $35 million in taxes isn't that enough? How would you like to cut that check? And then see the waste that it goes to. How can you say that anybody should give 70-80 percent (according to t g at article you bumped) of their money to this useless government? Your man Obama had control of the house and Senate for 6 years, why didn't he raise the taxes to 70 percent like you want? You constantly bash Reagan for lowering the taxes, but your boy Obama didn't see your "Brilliance" and raise the taxes to the moon like you want, how come? He had the opportunity... why don't you bash him? Or what about your man Clinton... he just rode the wave of success that was set up by Reagan, if he was so wrong why didn't Clinton raise the taxes to your fair share of 70 percent? I wonder what all your liberal friends like the Kardashians and Clooney, Soros, and all the other trump bashers are paying. I bet they don't pay their "Fair share" I bet they take every write off they can get! Where I live the whole county doesn't even gross $35 million. Knock it off already. I used to be more involved here a few years back, but don't get involved too much anymore and in no way went through 23 pages of this, but I have worked since I was very young on a farm and got a job and earned my own way since I was 14-15 years old and have paid a good share in taxes for many years and don't approve in the slightest on how the majority is blown.
I see the main problem being it has become way too lucrative being in politics, integrity is very rare anymore and doing wrong means nothing if they are benefiting even further and getting large contributions to do what's bad for our country just to be re-elected, staying in and staying corrupt. Then they pay the ever expanding leach base no-work, no-brains to live so they will vote for them to keep the handouts coming. No accountability...WTF? There used to be a balance, with parties voting with their true morals, now I can't stomach anything the WAY over the top BS liberal Demacraps do, or say.
I can't say I'm greatly impressed with Trump, but he does see what a FN disaster that the government has become and I am for anyone that tries to reboot us to a better, more common sense, less waste time. The vast majority of the media makes me livid; if you do some legitimate fact checking you will know how horrid they have become. They are so damn biased one way it is physically sickening. Fact check Michael Moore's docku-mentally movies facts/statistics some time. That atomic piece of $hit should be sent to the worst $hit-hole country to spout his backward-*** lying bull$hit and be stoned to death for it.
ZERO common sense anymore; that is the FN problem. Our taxes are mandatory, they should be spent on what is mandatory. Take care of our country first; our veterans, our truly handicapped, and our elderly retired and pay off our insane amount of debt; the money down the toilet in interest on just that is staggering. Our huge population of able-bodied, lazy leach trash of all races can be productive or waste away and die. It is on them; F**K this boo-hoo whining bull$hit. Cut the GD cord already. When there is a will, there is a way. Another complete waste are all the government grants to universities driving up the cost of college that is run by a bunch of brainwashing liberal morons. I'm convinced more than ever the majority of college students come out way dumber than when they went in. Entitlement programs have got to be cut and used for the truly needy, not the decidedly needy.
I believe the worst thing about health care was started with government involvement and not keeping tabs/being paid to look away on what the pharmaceutical companies and hospitals were charging when it came to federal funds paying BS amounts. Look what happened to the prices when government became fully involved. Mandates just guaranteed our asses will be reamed to a terminal level.
At work the other day someone came back into the truck shop and saw a forklift in a fair amount of dis-assembly and said "It will never work again" and I replied "Neither will white trash once you give them welfare".
