Hah! That was me!
Managed to get her home, just put new plates on her yesterday.
Now to get the leaking radiator fixed so I can drive her while I fix her up!

Hmm..don't see a way to upload a local file, so pictures will have to wait a bit...
Down in the bottom right (you may have to click on "more options" first to see it) is this little "upload a photo" button, just use that - oh, and select "full image" to make the pics larger.

I'm not an expert in this, I have a 300L and I believe they never got the clear tail-lenses, but...
Clear lenses in a NY is an early 65 thing. They had lots of cracking issues and switched to red lenses as a cure. Maybe in Q1 1965?

And welcome to all the peculiarities of a 65 C-body!
  • doorlocks, 66-up changed even if doors are the same otherwise
  • transmission
  • steering column and cableshift mechanism
  • driverside motormount, and the engines that will mate with it
  • windshield wiper motor
  • and probably more I've forgotten.

Yes, from what I can gather the clear tail-lenses were prone to cracking, and I can confirm that from first hand experience. :icon_fU:
Can also confirm windshield wiper motor issues...
I'm sure I become intimately familiar with the other peculiarities, but that's half the fun, isn't it?
