Been going through the interior of my 78 New Yorker. Anybody have a good idea about a replacement trunk divider?

Easy! I made one for my 65 Dodge. Get a thin piece of fiberboard down at Lowes/HD for a couple of bucks . . . use the old OEM cardboard-type one as a template . . . cut it out w/ jigsaw. The existing clips work fine. You can use it "as is", or splurge for a couple pieces of the new hi-tech stick-on sound deadner pads. I think a lot of our members have described using the stuff w/ good success.

Thanks, I like the fiberboard idea. I was hoping that there may be a silver bullet out there. New carpet arrived today. Spent the weekend cleaning up the mouse condo that existed in the body pillars. Damn cars that sit in storage for years!!!

This, or something similar:

Yeah, that's the piece I was referring to. Fiberboard is what Chrysler should have used here in the first place, instead of that cheap cardboard crap. But I guess pennies do count when you're building 100K of something. Really . . . this was probably the easiest and cheapest "fixes" I ever did on the car!

That's cheap considering some of the stuff we empty our wallets for. Still gonna check out the box stores first!
