Is there an “EFI-ready” tank available for ‘67 Imperials? Thinking of going that route rather than a surge tank.

If your tank is in really good condition it's still usable depending on whose pump you install. I used an Aeromotive pump. It may seem a bit costly but the quality is there and more than justifies a new tank plus pump as well. It's nice to have a slight recess in the tank for the pump to mount but I actually lowered my tank 3/4 inch with out any issues and used the existing straps. Some fab shops will actually modify existing tanks but they have to be in good condition and completely free of fuel vapors by cleaning with a diluted acid mixture.

I'd save the money and do an Edelbrock or FiTech surge tank. Cleaner, easier, and far less time consuming.

Personal preference but I've straight heard horror stories with the fitech one so I went with the RobbMC powersurge. Beat on it all summer without any issues plus it's built like a tank.

Check with these guys and see if they have a custon tank that will work for you. Or maybe they can fabricate one for you....

I was going to go with a tank because I wanted to "do it right" but here I have guys who have done it saying to go with the surge tank.

I'm always happy to take the easy way out!
