SOTU

Despite the new tax legislation, too many loopholes still exist, no doubt due to the swamp not being drained at all, rather restocked with even more wall street pigs. Why are U.S. based corporations (in reality) like FCA allowed to have its tax headquarters in London still? They use our U.S. infrastructure big time, but escape paying its fair share of taxes with this "legal" maneuver, so we end up with a crappy infrastructure over the years wherein the taxpayers will end up paying for improvements and big time users give their profits from this move to the CEOs and shareholders. The wealthy still have their tax breaks, and we get our circa $1.50 a week increases in income, which unlike the other changes, sunsets in 5 years.

Trump Did GM and Ford’s Foes a Major Favor by Cutting U.S. Taxes

And this recent new article emphasizes how out of touch Paul Ryan is and how he must truly believe we are all stupid.

And how do we pay for these huge tax breaks for us that increase our national debt by $1.5 trillion?

Thank you Mr. Trump, but if you meant what you said in your campaign, then you need to look more closely at the fine print your Republican cohorts are preparing for you in your legislation that is so "great". At least you could have your son in law Jared look it over, couldn't you? What else does he do these days?

Yeah, it is if not done "without representation" - like the Republicans are getting away with since our electorate isn't paying attention.

And the Dems before him... let's not forget who drove our debt higher than all the previous presidents COMBINED!
THANK YOU BARRY!

He had little choice since we had to get out of the massive economic disaster that occurred in 2008 when the big banks defaulted and left us all in a lurch. It was either that or go bust for the country. Thank you Mr. Bush I guess since it happened on your watch that all this finance mess went unchecked. At least Barry got the economy back on track again and the gains are still happening today because of his efforts in large part. But wall street is still ever present today in the current administration despite claims of draining the swamp, so we had still better be careful. I don't trust them at all. And Trump took the teeth out of the consumer finance protection bureau, so more bad loans are still likely to occur again - thank you for more wall street influence to get that passed. I guess they believe we all forgot what they did to us in 2008.

Honestly I don't know why everyone blames the republicans for favoring the rich, or the rich favor republicans. The Dems have the richest people in the US. Buffet, Democrat. Gates, Democrat. Ellison, Democrat. yada yada... Sorros, Nazi, but close enough that he only support Democrats.

If we're going to tax, may as well do it honestly, we should impose a wealth tax.

:bs_flag::rofl:
Well, if you seem to know it all... why don't you take the reigns and make try to maga? What would you do?
Let's not forget that your dealing with a pack of assholes that have been born and bred to the Washington state of mind.

Just give the guy a chance, we put up with your super hero for 8 years!

You can thank Clinton for 2008!

I guess you were responding to my post.

As I recall over the last years I have been on this site, you didn't put up with Barry at all, in fact you crapped on him at every opportunity. I am just highlighting some things that really should be fixed it seems to me. It isn't Trump so much that I am citing as it is his Republican party that is undermining his efforts. Trump is new to the game and I can understand that, but his party is not and they know exactly what they are doing - i.e. the bidding for those who pay for their campaigns, not us. Nor are the Democrats much different.
