Does it have the Sentinel dash sensor, on the left upper side of the dash, with its cap, like on the picture below? If so, I would be interested in buying the part (plus one small other part). Thank you.

Thanks for the additional pic, I see this New Yorker has the same "issue" as mine: the little cap on the sensor is missing. Any chance it would be in the ash tray or glove box? Looks like this is almost unobtainium...:(

Isthere anyway you can provide a pic of the piece your looking for.ill look through the car when the sun comes up.i think i heard about this set up i think its supposed to dim your brights automatically or something of the sort.i just dont know what it looks like

Here it is (from a manual, as I don't have any close picture of it). By the way, I said "Traffic Sentinel" but the right terminology is "Safeguard Sentinel Lighting". The system basically turns on and off automatically the headlights and taillights when necessary. The dash sensor is the photocell that measures the light intensity. The controls below the dash allows to switch between manual and automatic modes (i.e. turn off and on the Sentinel), as well as the delay when Sentinel is turned on (kind of "follow-me home" feature: lights remain on for up to 2 minutes after the drive has left the car at night).

Ok i didnt think people would be interested in parts this fast. Im going to spend the day tinkering with it to test all the electrical parts to see if they work or not....i hate selling things that im uncertain of the condition. Im just picky like that..lol

I got my Sentinal parts from Murray.

I did not receive the email. Just checked my hotmail account which is the one I have entered in my contact info for this site. I also checked the junk mail folder.

I can probably put together a working power antenna with the parts that I have though, so if Ross wants this one I won't fight over it. :)

Well ross has been patiently waiting on me before i made this post so with respect he has first call on all parts...i dont do the highest offer gets it type deal either.i just want to be as fair as possible.im just not going to do what used to do before....ross will know what im talking about...lol.

:) I think he just emailed me so that's why you didn't get an email. He's had the car for a while - I contacted him about a month or so ago.

All good Mike.
