Very cool numbering. One year only numbering (font) IIRC.

The only pic I have left of my fist car in 1986 at the age of 16. 1975 gran fury retired Massachusetts registry cruiser. Registry police were separate from state police in those days. 440hp colling fins on every fluid except for the brakes if I remember right. What a beast. Had the same non exaggerated speedo

That’s my white wash paint job on there. I painted the fenders hood & trunk black then was threatened by my parents it was getting towed if it wasn’t 1 color. Sucks not living in the sticks. We laugh about it now but not funny back then. Was ahead of my time with the tribute thing. Too soon I guess.

I would send this and an old NYB speedo to Instrument Specialties.
They can make the old NYB speedo into a new certified 140 NYB speedo.
How cool is that....

That's how I converted my 76 speedo to 120.

140 M.P.H. in a formal NYB, that would be one hell of a ride.

Been in the 130-140 MPH range with my old 78 Late at night on 88 between Dekalb and Aurora. Hit 100 and lost the needle on the dash and relied on the tach. 4800 RPM. 2.76 gears.
