Great day great drive great parking great cars and some great fun with my little brothers.
I was born in Harbor City Ca and then after a short stint in San Jose I’ve lived my entire life in Az. My grandmother arrived in Winslow via covered wagon and we had a Texaco - market on 66 until it died in the 70’s. My Aunt Pat’s family founded a little town named Sedona. I might not have been born there but I consider myself an Arizonan. Therefore I consider myself an enemy non-combatant in Kalifornia and according to the Geneva Convention I understand I am not obligated to follow any of its laws and ignore them completely or treat them as mere suggestions. It’s way easier living out here that way. So far...Just watched an Roadkill extra and Freiburger said its illegal in california to have a manual battery charger!? So much for environmental whackos!? Protection the environment is great but you can go overboard a little...
Thanks.WOW your photo's are magazine quality, great vintage race cars and some amazing weather. Thanks for posting, don't be too bummed out you could be on the East coast where the average temp is 10 degrees below normal.
Pictures are just GREAT, period! Great positioning of the cars in the frame, too!
As a practical matter, I haven't seen any "manual" battery chargers for sale in a verrryyyy long time, as everything's self-regulating, which is much better. No need having the battery charged enough to explode from the heat! Which then causes "chemical spills" and other damages.
My late uncle took his family to Yuma in the later '50s. Many are still in that area, or in AZ in general. Some ended up in CA. We visited them in '63 on a Disney Land vacation.
Thanks for the postings!
