1970 Dodge Polara | eBay

At first glance I thought this was Dave's car, but the interior is the wrong color. Looks to have just turned 100K miles, seems pretty solid. Too bad the interior is black.

"THIS AUCTION IS FOR A BEAUTIFUL EXTREMELY RARE (ONLY 842 PRODUCED) AND COLLECTIBLE 1970 DODGE POLARA CONVERTIBLE ALL ORIGINAL CAR. COMES WITH A 383 2 BARREL CARBURATOR WHICH WAS OFFERED AS AN OPTION, 3 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND VERY FEW SURVIVORS ARE LEFT OUT THERE, THE POWER WHITE TOP, FACTORY ORIGINAL RADIO, MUSICAL HORN, AND ALL THE LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD ALONG WITH THE POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, DRIVES STRAIGHT, THE UNDERNEATH HAS BEEN UNDERCOATED AFTER ORIGINAL PURCHASE. THE CAR HAS NEW PLUG WIRES, NEWER WATER PUMP, NEW BELT, RADIATOR HOSE, FRESH OIL CHANGE AND IS READY TO GO WHEN YOU ARE. IT HAS BEEN GARAGE KEPT, WELL MAINTAINED AND APPRECIATED FROM AN OLDER LOCAL COUPLE. I BELIEVE ITS A ONE OWNER CAR BECAUSE THE TITLE WAS FROM 1973 WE RECEIVED BUT HE HAD MOVED HERE FROM ANOTHER STATE. JUST A GREAT SOLID CAR. MUST SEE THIS BEAUTY TO APPRECIATE IT. THIS IS A GREAT CAR TO TAKE TO CRUISE INS AND CAR SHOWS. THIS CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY UNTIL STARTING PRICE IS MET. FEEL FREE TO CALL/TEXT US WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR NEED ADDITIONAL PICTURES AT 937-304-4215. "

:wideyed: There'll be some chatter about this one as soon as the Dodge Boys spot it.

Looks to be quite promising. The sub frame looks super-clean, might even have some original paint still on it. Does look like the car was repainted, which would be expected for it's age. Not sure why someone felt the need to paint the fender tag black, maybe some left over paint from the valve covers?. Would like to see pics of the critical areas.

Black engine - Black Fender Tag? Appears the whole engine is painted black and is the shape of the valve cover correct for this year?

Also seating area is stitched, is that correct for vinyl? The car is missing the plastic seat belt anchor covers, that's not original.

Sold for $7,978.00.

Hmmm...Dave and Wyatt are suspiciously absent from this thread. It would be pleasing to learn that either of them were the top bidder.

Wow, a week ago he was offered 8500 ...A lot of suspicion on this one with the retracted bids .
I would put money on the buyer of the green car was the highest bidder at one point on the Orange car. The day and the time the green car was sold the bid was retracted on this car.

I'm certain FCBO sold the green car ...
This car at first glance is a good solid car. Looking it over it has been repainted, look at the Dutchman. That is some poor body work right there.

Glad to see another one, disappointed it was rough.

The Dodge boys have wised up and chat amongst the ranks . We're tired of losing out to FCBO sandbaggers .

That was it. You could have modified the Hell out of that car and no one would have known

Known, we all would have. Minded, though, that’s debatable. The roof was already redone incorrectly.

Point is, if he modified it who cares the body has already been messed with.
