I never understood why the crazies have to drag other people under with them. Those people that got killed had lives, friends, families, and a role in society.

The answer is easy. On several fronts we have borne, raised, educated (? If you want to call it that) and thus produced a generation that has been coddled by this new "kinder, gentler" society. Exactly. Cities/counties get to use them in exchange for maintaining them, which isn't that bad because the mechanics are International truck parts. Uncle Sam still gets to call them back if he wants them. Better than sitting in the desert is the logic I suppose.
The one thing I hate about the "People's Republic of Maryland" is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a CCP here unless you are a slimeball politician. I've been a weapons professional with a Top Secret security clearance for 50 years and STILL can't carry.

When I was there, the easy way was to state you regularly carried 5K or more in cash to the bank for work. They cared more about money and taxes than peoples lives. Still do.

Naaa where I live in Volusia County in Florida the Sheriff's Department had to give the one they had back to the gooberment under the O'bama rules? Heard some cry'in and whining about it on the newz, but didn't pay much attention to it. Now our loudmouth grandstanding newly elected Yankee Sheriff is tossing the apple cart over amendment 10 and Tweeting like that other fathead in the Oval Office "Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood proclaimed the county's council "Scumbags of the Week" and "Chitwood called the Volusia County Council a bunch of "sneak thieves," and knuckleheads, and demanded a change in leadership."
He's trying to get some kind of tank back again (or maybe he has) I just can't listen to his crap any more. Like a Grandstanding press conference every 6 months or so announcing the tri-county task force drug bust of 150+ dealers. Hey dumb *** let the world know the it's open season for drug dealing and all the competition is locked up.
We use to have a Good'ole Boy Sheriff that well the joke around the County was that 'He' kept the competition out, things were much better then.

What ever happened to officer Friendly?
That doesn't really work anymore unless you are working for yourself. Most workplaces don't allow weapons in the workplace and some ban weapons in your own vehicles in the parking lot. The really dangerous areas have armored car service for cash deposit pickups.
