Old Man with a Hat
Cool to have a 156 and be a family heirloom. The 156 is on my search list for the big TCA show in York this April. Fortunately there are only a few WWI era “0” pieces, but they are pricey.I have my Dad's prewar trains. A 1917 #156, it's rare as it's a 4-4-4 and not the 0-4-0. And I also have his #256 Loco and I believe that's a 1926 vintage. Both them suckers just haul ***, to bad there so top heavy as they can't take a turn at a crawl without tipping.
I got mine off E-bay as well. Yeah, these are a real cherry set, so nice I really don't and haven't run them. I have a pair of Williams to take their place and want to download some of my stuff.
