1965 pace car restoration

Just something that fits and works well. My rear one is smaller around 5x7. Where did you find yours? I'm a bit limited here in Aus as to variety. I'd prob have to source from eBay.

I found this at local stereo installation shop. I told him what I needed to do and he walked right over to his shelf and grabbed this. I posted 1/2 of the wrong pictures above.

Not much achieved in the last month dealing with some health issues. I did manage to get a couple of hours the last few nights sanding and polishing the hood. I damaged it a couple of months ago and had to fix and respray it. Also fitted the new letters and the emblem I remade in bronze.

I’ve had a break for a few months still trying to get my health right. I also managed to get a couple of large sheds from my mates place before he sold it to developers. My son and I have spent a couple of months pulling down and setting up in the back yard. Makes life a lot easier actually having a shed again instead of the canvas carports we’ve been using. I stored the car for a few months at a mates factory but finally got it home yesterday. Hoping to get back into it again soon.

I was just thinking about you, while I have been restoring a power seat, I was thinking, you have gone to that detail on everything in you car. Congratulations on the new shed. I hope you can get your health right, still impressed that you got the shed build during this time. When you have been a 100%, you are crazy quick and your detail is impressive.

Nice to see your son helping with the move, means more when you have the next generation show some interest.

Thanks mate. Had some clean up surgery on my better shoulder today. Going to be a slow progress but heading in the right direction. My kids have been great. My son helped add a 4 bay carport to the shed last week.

Not much to tell at present. I had some surgery today which went well. My eldest boy helped me add a 4 bay carport to the shed over the last 2 weeks and we spent a few nights running power down to the shed and wiring in some lights and power points. Will be good to have everything a bit more secure and tidy when I get back into it.

Found a bit of energy to move the cars around tonight and actually get a couple of small things done. Added some nos lenses that I bought 25 yrs ago to my 60 tonight. Also started laying out all the rear window bits for the fury. Run some rust proof down into the sills and hopefully fit the glass this weekend.

I saw the script Dodge and thought it said Imperial. I thought it was an Oz thing :) Absolutely beautiful Dart

Getting a bit of progress. I had some solvent pop on the hood and trunk lid which I though I could cut out but didn’t work out. Getting ready to respray them hopefully this weekend. Quite happy with the rest considering what I started with and I sprayed it in the backyard inside a temporary carport with a dirt floor.

Little bit more done over the last couple of months. Got the rear windows in and working although I’ll have to source a right side mechanism at some stage as it’s worn out. Side trims were stripped, repaired and polished. Also some of the stainless around the windshield has been repaired and polished.
