California Gas Tax Increase

I haven't read the bill in Minnesota, but we get a jump too. Roads they say, yeah, sure. I hope it does go to the roads, because they need some loving, and the politicians need to put the money where they say it will go, for once.

In IL we finally passed a ballot measure that make tolls go for only roads and not sweet heart pension deals

The idiots in California voted for this increase, that in itself is unbelievable. The problem is I doubt they read the bill, the State has the ability to use the funds for whatever they want, most of it will never be used for road work.
Alan

Careful there Alan, your location shows you live in the state you just so heavily chastised. But I hear you, that's why I left!

Pennsylvania is still the highest gas tax...In the US......58.7 cents per gallon.

Sport utilities and trucks are still the best selling vehicles in the state.

Gas Tax Map

That's what happens when a liberal "A-Hole" governor gets elected! Don't blame me I didn't vote for him!

Pennsylvania roads are horrible and they have all those ridiculous tolls

Better than New York! Always have been!

A lot of states have pension problems. It’s what happens for many reasons but not having children is one. Not enough future people to pay in.

Zerohedge has had several articles on Illinois and its pension problems, IOUs to vendors and lottery winners, etc. In fact, a new one was posted today "Wealthy" Chicago Households On Hook For $2 Million In Debt Each Under 'Progressive Solution' To Pension Crisis

If you don't vote... don't *****.

Too many people died over the years fighting for the right to vote. I do every election, even the small ones here where i live. :usflag:
I have just as much right to ***** as anyone, I don't vote because I don't feel there is anyone that satisfies my interests, and I'm not going to vote for the lesser of two evils. I've voted before, and I'm sure I will again. I respect those who died for my right to vote, the right, and I have chosen to not exercise that right most elections in the last five or six years. But, to each his or her own, the world will still work out the same, it's fate is beyond my control, so I worry about my girlfriend, my dog, and my cars.

And vehicle registration renewals are going up bigtime too! Last I paid for a 94 Dodge Caravan in CA. was $135 back in 2015, to be raised to almost $200, if not more? I pay $60 where I am now! I'm so glad I left that place!

Nope, would still be the same. Ask me how I know with 10 cars and nine of them for for 3-50 years. They have all been the same for quite some time year after year. Just paid three of them and no increase since it was value based with an add on. Of the nine the most expensive is $146 for a 2004.
