Found Looking for 78 New Yorker Brougham parts

Hi I’m looking for a factory 8 track player with search. I also need a driver side rear window seal and chrome piece and a pass door chrome pull handle piece. Don’t know what to call all these pieces. Thanks Pics to show what I’m talking about.

you cant get the plastic chrome pieces for the strap separately.
they are part of the strap so you will have to find another gray velour strap with them.
i would just put up with what you have, its not noticeable until you point it out !
not sure what you mean by an 8 track player with search. the 8 track can forward to the next track but thats it. you couldnt get an 8 track with a radio station search, but you could get a digital am fm radio with station search.

Agreed...8 track was unavailable with search. Search radio had no tape...you must decide what you want.

Almost all (99%) of the 78 door pulls of that design are broken that way.

For belt weatherstrip (aka side window sweeps, "cats whiskers"...whatever)...I got the set for the 74 Imperial I restored here:

Only place I know of that caters to the Formal C body that way...they worked beautifully.

Thank you for the info. On the window sticker it said it came with a 8 track player AM FM with search it has the extra button on the floor next to the headlight dimmer switch which I’m assuming that’s the search or switch the channel button. And as far as the strap thank you.

Thank you I stand corrected. On the window sticker it's a AM/FM with search that's is what I need. I would also like that window sweep/seal thing lol.

I looked at the part you had mentioned but it dose not look like what I need. I just need one rubber or chrome piece for the side rear window unless they come together not sure by the pic on that web site.

I thought you were referring to the belt weatherstrip. Never had to replace the weatherstrip on the glass. I think you have to reuse the chrome on the glass and just replace the rubber.

Hey Rick.. I have one that I pulled from my 75 NYB.. works great. I pulled it and am putting in 8 track unit I’m having upgraded.. we can chat if interested in it. I’ll take a picture for you when I get home..
