I understand the color factors in Jeff but to what %?

Things like the steering wheel and wipers likely won't be a problem in our lifetime . Anyone buying this car or one like it will keep the car garaged and see very minimal precipitation .

I don't see a twenty five thousand dollar car. I do see a very original low mileage car that needs a bit of touch up without ruining originality.

Colors... who really knows? But folks like a color they push a little harder to buy it, they'll pass a sale over a color too. I usually buy the car, not the color, but I'm weird

I don't use the wipers much either. I use Rain X or similar stuff on all my cars. When it gets really bad, the wipers come on to knock some of the water off.

I did get caught in that insane down pour at Carlisle on Thursday. I turned on the wipers because at the slower speeds, the windshield wasn't quite clearing enough. The articulating arm for the driver side wiper unsnapped in very typical fashion and the coated windshield really saved my butt. I could still see to drive even though the wipers now had to stay off.

A couple things about using Rain X or something like that. First, it really does help in the rain. No question... get to 55mph or better and the water flows off the windshield much better than the wipers can clear it. The windshield also doesn't get as dirty and it is easier to clean the bugs off. It just looks better too. I like clean glass...

Yea the only benefit I could think of it's use would be to protect the glass from wiper wear on a brand new vehicle that you would want to preserve as a classic. But if you daily driver the car in the heavy traffic of today's world, windshields come and go quite regularly.

The big question is how does it stand up to infamous 'Love Bug'?

Wiper wear isn't why I use it. That's not a consideration. It's all about seeing in the rain, and of course, in my area, snow. Eliminates the wiper chatter too. The last windshield I lost (my Mercury) drove me nuts because I couldn't get a dry day after it was installed to get it coated.

We don't have the love bugs here, but out here in the country, we get our share of everything else. The bugs clean off much easier... as does bird crap.

I did a search and I'm sure there's better videos, start this one at about 8:00 and you'll see how the water moves.

It's pointless to replace wiper blades here in Phoenix. You put them on and by the time you need to use them they have dry rotted and have the rubber hanging off. I have literally had to replace them without ever using them.

I used 1/2" foam pipe insulation because I'm frugal. Those wiper covers were just too much $$.

I just walk up to the college here in town and grab the spare tire covers off all the Jeeps.
The students don"t use their rear view mirror or walk around the back of there vehicle.
No body pays any attention to people over thirty so this = never been caught.
