I changed my rear seat out for one out of a 68 300 fast top and I want to verify it fits the way it should since the mounts are a bit different. Particularly the sides where the seat meets the sail panel...I have a gap there that doesn't look right.

This..and the upper panel doesn't seem to quite line up with the mounting holes. This is installed in a 67 newport fast top.

It looks low to me. Make sure it pushed all the way up into the upper brackets.

my upper brackets are a bit different than the 300...working to make it fit correctly, but i think you are correct...sitting low. The are currently sitting in the brackets, but they are the newport brackets.

There are filler pieces that go in the top pic to fill the space between the package tray, seat back and the door panel. They're called shroud fillers, and they're available in reproduction on eBay. The vendor is a member here. Here is the auction for 65-66 ones... they can likely be modified to fit for 67 and 68

I thought about that, but these seats were stock in the 300 I removed them from and they didnt have fillers in it...I will probably just make a panel that covers it for now. I think its just from the seat not sitting exactly where it needs to be and shrinking from age.
