I love this site and most of the people on it, but I think I'm going to wrap up the sale posts I have and hit the road for awhile til the drama fades away. Today it seems like a lot of bitchiness is floating around and I honestly have better things to do than get wrapped up in drama....like work on my car. The reason for being on this site in the first place...If I dont, then I will get more and more involved in the drama and get myself in trouble. I know when to step back and keep my mouth shut.

I just let it roll off.
The problem of social media is how easy one can hit “SEND”.
Hell mainstream media doesn’t proof-read anything why should the twitters and bookface people?
In the business world one understands tact. I proof read a post before sending. I know not everyone picks up my humor or sarcasm.

Don't let a douche ruin your day. If he's too ignorant to figure out that we clarify things here, for the greater good, than forget about him. The drama level is what you make if it. It's there, but you don't have to add to it. Kind of like the political threads, I usually just keep moving. See you around.

its not giving up....its knowing my limits and when to step away to protect myself. I dont want to get banned for going off on someone. maybe a day...maybe a week...but i will still finish the conversations and deals i was working on.

Heck, if someone things this conversation is one extreme then lets look at FBBO site. If someone advertises an item and you feel differently on its price, you cannot post ANY negative comments. So look at their site and vehicles for sale. Its no comments or lovey dubby comments. Talk about sheep following the sheep. No independent thoughts, words or actions allowed. I have never posted anything on their website since.

Geeze man that sucks. Us C body guys need all the "For Sale" stuff we can get our hands on. No Year One etc for us. I check out your stuff for sale even if I am not looking for that item specifically. Would hate to see you go but if you do ,,,hurry back.

Thread tools can be helpful to reduce stress. Ignore setting and un-watch settings gets ride of some of the trash so you do not have to see it more than once.

Everybody's got their own sensitivities about things. Which can relate to prior-life programming up-bringing), part of the world one is from, and other environmental factors. Some people seemingly need to be surrounded by "drama" in order to function, by observation, which can lead to the "dramady" situation, where one person's drama is another person's amusement. Even if the drama is manufactured.

Everybody needs to do what they need to do to keep their head on correctly. Always better to step away before things fly apart! Working on and concentrating on cars can be stress relief, too.

Take care and come back when you're ready.

I always appreciate seeing what's for sale and general auto market info. Sorry to see you go. Note: if all the good people leave, only the bad people will be left.

Hell. . . I'm standing right there with ya. I've put at least eight douche-bags in my kill list. Everything now is sweetness and light. . .

I fully understand where you are coming from. It’s not only this site that is full of drama but everywhere around us. People seem to thrive on drama and as a result they say things that they shouldn’t just to get a rise out of a situation. To me this is one of the worst parts of our society today.

Having recently retired we purchased a property in a retirement community and we decided to get involved with the social club and helped turn things around for them. Shortly thereafter the park was sold to a different owner and the drama began. At the time I approached the residents and started a Residents Association to help remove their anxiety and drama. Our group not only quickly accomplished all the goals we set out but took on many more. But wouldn’t you know it a small group was all about the drama and caused trouble for both groups I was involved in. I recently left both groups and they are sadly now floundering, all because of the drama queens.

Many people have suggested I should get a thicker skin (these people never do anything or get involved so it’s easy to say). Trust me I have a thick skin and dealt with many tough problems in my career. At this point I want peace and quite so there are only two options when it comes to things. 1) get a thicker skin. 2) remove yourself from the situation and do something else you enjoy more.
Guess which one I choose.
Best of luck and hope to see you back on the site soon.

I've found that this helps. . .

Agreed. I hope we get "I'm leaving I'm offended / Someone hurt my feelings/ this group sucks / etc etc" posts like they do on facebook when people leave a group.

This group is a cartoon. Ya just can't take it seriously. . . (I'm waiting for @stubs300 to come flyin' outa the closet any minute now).
