1971 Plymouth SportFury (Coco Chanel)
360 cubic inch, 727 transmission, 9.25 SureGrip (haven't checked the gear ratio)
Triple Brown, Power Steering, Power Brakes disc brakes, original non air car. Manual windows and locks.

I have owned the car for two years but have not done much to it besides get it running (it still needs a bit of tuning) fixed a few items and collected some parts. Was a 2bbl car, previous owner installed an Edelbrock Performer intake, Carburetor and a muffler shop dual exhaust system.

Car shows well but is NOT perfect

Will need a heater core and windshield is cracked. Previous owner did a paint job and vinyl top. I have seen a few spots popping up under the paint near the vinyl top/trunk area.
I was going to install a different ignition system (HiRev7500) since the timing curve needs tweaking. U joints should be changed soon. Starts easily even after sitting for weeks.

Trunk floor is in great shape.

I will be posting more images later today.
Car is in San Antonio, TX but I can drive it anywhere for the right price.

Asking $5,425.98 or best offer. No trades as I am shrinking my fleet for 2020.

Yes, I expect to get beat up on this price. I'm a big guy, I can take a few hits. Getting rid of this so I can focus on my 1970 Wagon.

So Guy Anthony, why do you expect to get beat up on price? $5400 seems reasonable for 23 body in good condition.

Because that's what happens these days. Everyone thinks they are that guy from gas monkey garage and want to just give you grief for an asking price. It's just internet life these days. Le sigh

I always wondered , when guys ask for "more pictures", after you have posted a ton, and don't ask for anything specific, what would happen if you said " no, I don't, thanks"

Would that get rid of the picture collectors?

It might...but, to be fair, I did need to post more images so folks can have a better idea of what this car is. This car is a fairly decent starting point, it runs, sounds good and looks pretty decent rolling down the road. Last owner wasn't a Mopar guy...nuff said

Any story to such an unusual specific amount?
Because no matter what I ask, people are gonna balk at the price, so does it really matter what figure is up there? Not Really.

Also, this is the post from a few years ago when I got it, back when it wasn't running and couldn't move. I've since put about 2,000 miles on it driving it from Houston to Austin then to San Antonio. Most trips have been just under 250 miles (round trips between Austin/San Antonio)

For Sale - 1971 Plymouth Sport Fury $4,000

Again, it's not perfect but does run and drive and stop. Something it didn't do with the previous owner

V1W is full white vinyl top, so the top has been replaced. Think black looks better anyway. Black stripe down the side might look cool with it.
