This Craigslist offering looks decent in terms of body and interior from what is shown and might be of some use to someone here. Being from Nevada/New Mexico, it might well be pretty rust free. It has been for sale for at least two weeks now, so someone might be able to make a good deal. I just think it might be worth saving by someone other than me for a change!

It is at Broadway Truck Salvage, Inc in Albuquerque, it appears, in case the listing goes away (the phone contact in the listing does not work). If this is correct, the contact number would be: 505-243-5669

To the CL Poster.. not you Steve...

Let's see here.... you cannibalized the life blood out of this pretty nice 300, to put in some B or E body when you had one from a POS motor home sitting right there....

How about you throw that in just because you're a Numpty... then we'll call it good.

Wet paint but no hose, the seller is smarter than us. :D

Given it is a truck salvage yard, Kenny, there is the possibility that someone else plucked the engine and gave them the leftovers - it seems they have other vehicles for sale too. Just a guess though.

Thanks Steve....Good point but my take is a lot funnier...:D
In that case I'm glad he posted it and not let the derby get first dibs!
I do like the CJ-5 too.

This car is pretty close to me. I'm really mostly looking for a 70 gt but really enjoy the looks of the 70 300 and the 69 70 imperials.
Can you guys please pick this car apart as to what's really wrong with it. Upsides and downsides.

I know it has very little rust so that appeals greatly to me.
Not having a motor or tranny really sucks. but easy enough to get and install.

not saying i'm going to save it but I should at least consider it.

Just going by the pictures, the only thing that bothers me is the dash pad. That might be a little hard to source a good one. Not impossible, just more difficult.

It has all the lower trim and wheel well molding. That's a very hard one to source, so that's good. Plastic trim around the grille is gone, but I don't think that is really hard to find. Legendary has the seat covers, so you are good to go there.

All else looks pretty good, but obviously, personal inspection of what is going on underneath is in order. I think this is a good one to save... If it were me, I'd even think about doing a modern engine conversion, but that's just a thought.

Oh... and take $1300 with you... $750 in your wallet to toss out on the hood. Hide the rest in various pockets to pull out as needed. Bet you can get it for less than a grand.

What is the V7W? I know longitudinal stripes but what does that look like on this car?

Take a look at the catalogs on the fuselage Website and you will see how they looked.

This car seems to have had a repaint judging by some traces found in the ad pics which is why they're missing, you also could have a stripe delete as with the Hurst, not sure about the code at the Moment.

Interesting options. Tilt wheel, cornering lights, A/C, but no power windows or speed control.
