I realize this is a long shot and I'm opening myself up for some possible grief, but any chance one of you folks who live & breath mopar might have an idea if this is a stock color? We really like it and have been scouring over the old paint code charts trying to find a match.

It looks very close to the dark turquoise used from I think 1967-69.

Keep in mind that turquoise often does not show up properly in photos. For reasons unknown to me it looses some of it's green, so it appears more blue than in person.

hard to tell from a picture. Q5 is a nice color that may be close.

I know they also had a similar color in 1965 and probably '66 too. It's either KK-1 or LL-1. I'm guessing LL-1, as I think LL-1 is the darker of the two.

Looks like 1968 Dodge code L turquoise. This is a one year only color. Try this color.

Also take a look at 1969 code Q5 turquoise.

It’s close to 66-67 Code K medium turquoise, but it is darker than that color.
It’s not 66-67 code L dark turquoise, it’s too light for that color.

That color K is too light. When you see a car that color it will be apparent. But it looks close. It’s not that great of a color either.

Other well known variables:
the mix from the store can vary
the color of the sealer you are spraying over
the air pressure
how heavy the coats are
how thin the paint is mixed to be sprayed, Etc.

This is 1969 code Q5

I was asking 300 Rag and I guess it's a 65? Sorry Rip! not taking anything away from you car-it's beautiful, but the red doesn't work for SWMBO......

Had the car been painted before?
If so,would it be possible it may have been painted a Phord or Generic Motors color?
What is the color code on the fender tag?? or is the pic from the world wide web?
My opinion is I am leaning towards the 69 Q5.

The original poster’s car looks great as is. That color sure appears to be a factory color and I wouldn’t be concerned if not original to that year.

300 rag That's it! Hope you don't mind if I steal that color? I doubt you'll ever see the Frankinfury in Alberta.....
