This is a super rare car, right? they only made like 3030 Desotos for 61' and 2100-ish were sedans? jeez, who knows how many are left.

Yes, we have seen this one before at Coparts wrecking yards, which is where someone must have acquired it and is now flipping it for a tidy sum apparently (as I recall it sold for just under $5000):

Yes, we have seen this one before at Coparts wrecking yards, which is where someone must have acquired it and is now flipping it for a tidy sum apparently (as I recall it sold for just under $5000):

Thank you for the links. The FB pictures are the same as the Coparts ones. That’s one lazy flipper!

The Coparts listing mentioned a location of Knoxville, TN — close to Revelo, KY listed on the window sticker — so Steve’s guess that the elderly (original?) owner passed away and someone dumped it for a flipper to pick up is likely right on target. Beautiful car.
