Perhaps you could blow some of the crap out of the cowl cavity wit compressed air. It's usually twigs and leaves that hold the water against the steel, promoting rust. Chrysler did not paint the insides.

I prefer to build my own systems. Just purchase alumized pipe and bends. The only challenging part is cutting the bends correctly. These attached systems are 3" and 2".

I always put the front pump half in the case bore facing the rear and then the rear half, using the case bore for alignment. Install all the bolts and snug them up, pop the assembly out and torque the pump bolts. Always worked for me.

I purchased a new 5 gallon bucket of Berryman, after my Gunk pail rusted out, and found it works OK if I soak for 24 hours but, I rinse in my solvent tank to get that "soot" off, while brushing too.

I did not want a scoop but, I wanted a large air filter and to not choke the air flow down. I had a hood with the bracing rotted out and a good skin, so I built a matching scoop with the skin. We bonded the metal scoop to the metal hood. I realize I have a B but, a scoop is a scoop.
