    Recommendations for waxing/protectant on 68' 300 Grill

I used Ever Brite after removing the anodize and polishing all the aluminum trim on my 1965 Belvedere. I also used it on the all-aluminum engine to preserve the appearance. Mike

Questions on timing chain and oil slinger

When Chrysler went to the double lip front seal they cut the slinger out. I was working at a dealer during that period. Mike

Parts cleaners - Ultrasonic, vibratory & solvent-experience welcome.

I use Safety Kleen solvent in my tank (they service it) but, it's large enough to fit a small v-8 cylinder block inside. I just had it serviced last summer (14 years) and it cost $600.00. That's not bad per year cost! That's my transmission tear-down table to the left. Mike

    Aluminum trim polishing

There are some products available for anodize removal and I had luck with them. I fasten long pieces of trim to 1x3/4" boards of correct length to control and support trim for buffing. Mike

Transmission questions again on my 68 fury iii

I am surprised no one has mentioned blasting for corrosion removal. I use my blast cabinet all the time when cleaning up parts. Currently using crushed glass. On drums, a blasting followed by buffing with a wire wheel brings back a new looking finish. But, pitting is cause for...

    Axle Leaking

I used JB Weld to fill rust pits on a pair of Ford 9" axles. It is rated for a fairly high operating temperature and will be operating in a lubed situation. I had a report today and the customer has 500 miles so far with no issues. Mike

I use ATF+4 in all my stock rebuilds. I have it in my 1965 Coronet. Check out the fluid specs and you will be impressed. Mike

    Weight of 426 Hemi?

I paid extra to go completely aluminum. I weighed it complete with FAST TB installed and was treated to a weight of 420 lbs. Not too shabby for 540 cubic inches. Mike

Does cable shift slip yoke 727 torqueflight exist?

I do not know if the Fury column is similar but, attached is a photo of my 65 Coronet column for reference. Mike

    Clean up!

Use your Scotch Brite on the spade terminals to clean off any corrosion. I like to assemble the electrical connections with a product called No-Ox. It is a electrically conductive paste that prevents corrosion. The female terminals are difficult to shine up so I stick them in my blast cabinet...
