Ordered a set of Hankook Kinergy 215/75/14 off tire rack
White Walls , they had 7 left so figured i should grab 4 of them if i wanted a set.
Thank you all for Photos and opinions, The more i looked at my own pictures, it became clear the white wall was correct, or maybe you all brainwashed me...
Hey Big John -- thank you for the transmission advice on tightening the screw on the valve body! I did that, and adjusted the kickdown and i went from the pushbutton trans not going into gear, and no 3rd gear shift, to a perfectly functioning pushbutton, and a nicely shifting transmission in all...
on this car with these hub caps?
Opinions welcome as i am conflicted...
Yes, that is black spray paint over the whitewall on the front... tire is ng anyway..
Decided to change out this decrepit inline filter while i am under the car... had a tough time getting it off, did not want to mess up the cooler lines as i am trying to get this car going as a driver without getting real deep into it from a $ perspective..
Took some heat with propane torch...
So i wanted to clean my trans pan, and change fluid on my 62 Newport with a 727 transmission..
After pulling the pan, i noticed this screw in the side of the valve body on the driver's side, shift cable side, toward's the rear of the car... there is a plate with 5 small phillip's head screws...
Not sure about width, the car has 215/70/14 tires on it .. Did not know different widths are available?
It is a stock 1962 Chrysler Newport.. it did not come with a spare tire so just need something in case i get a flat... ( i can find a tire up here, but not a rim ha )
Would you be willing...
